Function:
As a dental assistant, you offer support in the preparation, execution and completion of a treatment, so that the dentist can carry out the treatment efficiently, the patient’s chair time is reduced and the organisation within the practice runs more smoothly.
Between treatments, you ensure that everything is kept clean and ready for the next treatment.
In this role, you and your colleagues support the dentists by performing the following tasks:
Tidying up and cleaning up the work area, materials and products after a consultation, as well as preparing the next consultation
Filling out patient files
Certain agenda management + settling treatments
Monitoring product stocks, determining shortages.
Preparing materials and products according to the doctor’s instructions and the nature of the intervention
Assisting the dentist during the procedure
Sterilising and packing the material and instruments (assembling sets, putting them in bags, …)
